Most of our compounds ship as lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder and must be reconstituted before use in the lab. Bacteriostatic water is sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol, which inhibits bacterial growth so a vial can be drawn from more than once. Acetic acid water is a dilute 0.6% solution for compounds that dissolve poorly at neutral pH.
